Christmas Time & Garth Brooks

Wow, I can't believe tomorrow is already Christmas Eve! Where has this year gone??? I've had so much fun shopping for my family this year, especially my nieces and nephews. I can't wait to see them open their gifts. This christmas will be a bit different because my brother, sister and their families are not coming until the day after. However, they have to start their own traditions so that's ok. I'm looking forward to spending Christmas day with my mom,dad, mamaw and granny.

On another note. My sister n law and I went to see Garth Brooks this past Tuesday night. I was looking forward to the concert, but WOW, I didn't really realize how excited I was going to be until he got on stage! I felt like a little girl I was so giddy! It took me back to Jr high and high school. Their is just no words to describe that concert, it was Amazing, Epic, Outstanding, just Awesome!!!! Makes me sad to think he's not touring. I think it was a great thing he did though putting on the concerts at a reasonable price, then donating all the money to the flood relief. And let me tell you, for him not to have performed a full stage show like that in over 10 years, he still has it!!! You would have never known he hadn't been performing. He sounded better than he does on his records. And yes, I did come home and drag out all the old records and put on my ipod, haha.

I wonder what other artists think about him selling out 9 shows in a row at the same place within an hour! Yea, I'd be jealous :)

Ok, so as you may have noticed I'm a terrible blogger!!!! I've totally deleted my blogs from this past year and I'm starting over! Hopefully I'll be able to keep up this time.

How in the world I think I have time to do this is beyond me. I've just completed my first semester of my Master's degree! Very excited about this stage in my life. I hope the next few semesters go as smoothly as this one did. However, with the upcoming changes at work in the next few months I feel my life is about to go into a tailspin!

The Athens City Schools are restructuring and the pre-k program is being moved into the schools next year. So I will be spending part of my summer moving and getting re-situated in a new classroom and building. However, I will be spending the spring trying to organize and pack while teaching at the same time. So between work and taking classes for my Master's, life is crazy! I love it though!

My little angels (all my nephews and nieces) are growing up so fast. I haven't been able to go see them as much as I'd like, so I'm looking forward to Christmas to be able to spend some time with them. It's so amazing how fast they grow. They are 10 months, 1, 3, 5, and 7! It seems like only yesterday that Jacob, the 7 year old was a baby! They definitely make Christmas shopping fun :) They all definitely keep my brother, sister and their spouses busy, busy. They all are doing great though!
